Delta Fountains renovated the 40-year-old fountain in Hopkins Plaza in 1998. The renovation required all new features to be designed within the existing basin and to incorporate a nautical design, as inspired by the rich nautical history of Baltimore.

Hopkins Plaza Renovation

The Hopkins Plaza water feature includes 20 custom spray rings and eight zones of animation. A total of 220 smooth bore nozzles and 124 aerating foam jet nozzles make up this massive feature. Seven feature pumps operate the star-shaped spray rings, creating an impressive show of ramping water. The feature is lit by more than 130 submersible fountain lights.
